IWIWT Launch Event at Sony Music’s HQ in London
March 12th, 2010Last night’s launch of the I Wish I Worked There! book was absolutely buzzing! Sony Music kindly donated their gorgeous cafeteria-cum-gig space and threw many hands on deck to help accommodate almost 350 people from the innovative corporations as well as design and creative agencies.
Giant-sized ‘Polaroids’ depicting scenes from the book that represented all 20 featured businesses and over-sized ‘Post-it’ notes displayed gallery-style overlooked the champagne that was flowing and fresh, chilled Innocent smoothies.
Emma Pike, VP Industry Relations at Sony Music welcomed guests and spoke about the impact that this new space has had on boosting the company’s culture and its ability to innovate. Helen Castle, Executive Commissioning Editor at John Wiley & Sons acknowledged the work, commitment and the airmiles that went into researching the book, and finally Kursty Groves (IWIWT author) shared some snippets from each of the inspiring workplaces she visited.
It was a fun event, and hopefully one that will inspire people to make their workspaces better and spread the word about the book!
