Monday, April 26th, 2010

We were thrilled to see Charlotte Philby’s piece in The Independent on April 24th.  EntitledHot Desks: The coolest office spaces in the world, Charlotte highlights some of the more unusual features of some of the businesses featured in the book (such as Innocent Drinks’ AstroTurf grass flooring, Google’s fireman’s poles and Nike’s Olympic-sized swimming pool), but also appreciates the deeper value of great creative environments, in her comment: “As well as showcasing some envy-inducing workplaces, the book explores the relationship between the working environment and corporate productivity.” And we especially love her parting suggestion: “So now you know exactly what to buy your boss for Christmas.”

It’s not all beanbags and lava lamps!

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

While The Guardian’s review of I Wish I Worked There! in G2 today misses the point, we’re nonetheless thrilled for the book to be featured in such a high-profile publication and by such an esteemed journalist as Jonathan Glancey.
